Sumaira Abdulali

Indian Environmentalist & Founder Awaaz Foundation

One of the foremost Indian environmental activist, Mrs. Sumaira Abdulali is the founder of the NGO Awaaz Foundation and Convenor of the MITRA.

Recipients of Mother Teressa award and Ashoka Fellow, she has successfully mainstreamed and built consciousness about previously unknown environmental hazards, notably noise pollution and sand mining, through legal interventions, advocacy and public campaigns, contribution to documentary films, television debates and press articles.

Maj. Gen. Harsha Kakar

Security Analyst & Founder STRIVE (Think Tank)

Maj Gen Harsha Kakar was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in Jun 1979 and superannuated in Mar 2015 as a Major General. 

He was the head of the department in strategic studies at the College of Defence Management, where he wrote extensively on futuristic planning and enhancing joint operations. He also served as part of the United Nations peacekeeping operations in Mozambique.

Post His superannuation, he is a founder member of a Lucknow based think tank, STRIVE (Society for Transformative Research and Veteran Empowerment). He is also a security analyst on multiple TV channels.

Hans Honey Khari

Legal Advisor & Founder Tribus Legal

Mr. Hans has a practice spread before various adjudicating Authorities, Tribunals, High courts across various states.

A qualified lawyer, with a degree in Business Administration, Law graduation from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Masters of Law LL.M. Criminal & Security Laws with Gold Medal distinction. He has successfully completed Advocacy Workshop organised by George Washington University Law School, USA and Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.

Enrolled as an Advocate on the rolls of Bar Council of Delhi, New Delhi, He has a distinction of holding Certificate of Practice from Bar Council of India to practice before all Judicial Courts throughout India. He is also a Life Member of Rajasthan High Court Bar Association at Jaipur and member of Council for International Jurists Organisation. 

Irene Banos Ruiz

Environmentalist & Multimedia Journalist

Irene Baños Ruiz is a multimedia journalist specialized in environment and climate change. Since 2016, she has been mainly working as a freelance journalist for the environment department of Deutsche Welle, Germany’s international broadcaster. She has covered the UN climate change conferences COP23, COP24, COP25, COP26 and COP27. She is co-author of the book “Che cosa è la bioeconomia? (Edizioni Ambiente, 2019) and author of “Ecoansias” (Ariel, 2020).

Prof. S. Viswanathan

Director of the Centre for Business Sustainability

Vish S. Viswanathan is Professor of Operations Management & Corporate Sustainability at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University.

He also serves as the Director of the Centre for Business Sustainability and as Cluster Director of the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N). Vish’s expertise are in Corporate Sustainability, Sustainable Operations & Supply Chain, Operations Management, Inventory Theory, and Optimisation. 

His research has been published in Financial Times and Business Week ranked top tier Business journals. He has served as a Senior Editor, Editorial Board Member, or Associate Editor in top journals in the field.

Ritesh Rajani

Inclusion & Diversity Champion

Ritesh is at the crossroads of technology and inclusion, having been both a software developer and a diversity and inclusion champion. In D&I, Ritesh has worked extensively on policies and programs for inclusion of women, people with disabilities and LGBT+ persons both as a D&I practitioner and as a D&I consultant to many organisations.

Ritesh has a master’s in computer applications, and holds a US Patent for an invention in the field of RFID. Ritesh is passionate about developing assistive technologies; and is trained in basic Indian Sign Language.
