On 1 July 2021, Svadhyaya Youth Organisation launched its very first Study Library for Youth in Gaya, Bihar. 

The idea behind launching such a library is to provide a safe space to children coming from economically & socially backward segments in Gaya district of Bihar. 

As per research studies conducted by eminent institutions such as National Centre of Biotechnology Information & Unicef, poverty, physical congestion and lack of resources can affect the child’s development by stunting cognitive growth and causing psychological stress, which may continue to affect the child even in the later years of life. 

Hence, creating such safe spaces for children, which not only enable them to study but also involve in mainstream social discourse, is the need of the hour.
